• First antitank aircraft rockets of project RAM shipped to Korea.
• June 1950 renamed NOTS Inyokern at China Lake.
• July -- NAF has 15 aircraft consisting of 1 JRB-2, 1 F8F-1, 1 F4U-4, 1 F7F-3N, 1 AJ-1, 1 TBM-3E, 3 PB4Y-2, 1 P2V-2, 1 R4D-6, 1 R4D-5, 1 JD-1, 1 SNB-5 & 1 SNB-1.
• 24 August 1950 -- In a test conducted at NOTS, Inyokern, CA, a Terrier, surface-to-air guided missile, intercepted an F6F drone at a range of more than 11 miles from the point of launch.
