•June -- VX-5 marked its 20th anniversary in memorable fashion -- receiving the Meritorious Unit Commendation.VX-5 published over 50 major & minor reports o squadron developed tactics for air to ground attack weapons and attack aircraft. In addition VX-5 guided the fleet introduction of the A-6C and A-7E aircraft.
